TN Team

Our Tennessee team was proud to participate in the Tennessee Disability Mega Conference, bringing together leaders, advocates, educators, professionals and people with disabilities from across the state to learn, build connections and explore innovative approaches that strengthen communities.

Representing CLC at the conference were Sandra Mooney, TN Director of Innovation Coordination Services; Katina Cole, West TN Regional Manager; and Natalie Craig, Middle TN Regional Manager. Their participation provided an opportunity to connect with community partners, exchange ideas and continue learning about resources and approaches that can create greater independence, accessibility and opportunity for people with disabilities throughout Tennessee.

CLC was especially proud to have members of its MAPs team at the conference. Through Tennessee’s MAPs program, CLC helps people identify and use enabling technologies and other supports that can increase independence and help them achieve their personal goals.

One of the highlights of the conference was reconnecting with Marie, a recent MAPs graduate who has much to celebrate. In addition to graduating from MAPs, she recently completed a program at Vanderbilt.

Through MAPs, Marie has been supported with enabling technologies that help her live independently and stay connected with her family. Her success is a wonderful example of how individualized supports and technology can help people build greater independence and create the life they choose. And we are proud to have played a part in her journey.

Team CLC also had the opportunity to connect with the DDA Transition Guide for Middle Tennessee and others from across the state who share a commitment to expanding opportunities for people with disabilities.

CLC is proud to be an active part of Tennessee’s disability community, not only providing services and supports, but also listening, learning, building partnerships and sharing ideas. Opportunities like the Tennessee Disability Mega Conference help strengthen those connections while advancing a shared goal: communities where people with disabilities have the tools, opportunities and support to live active, involved and meaningful lives.
