Meet C’Kala Humes, an Innovation Coordinator in Tennessee, who will celebrate three years with the Charles Lea Center next month. In their role, C’Kala is passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward greater independence and takes pride in watching participants achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
C’Kala was drawn to Charles Lea Center by the opportunity to be part of a service-driven community that values inclusion, meaningful support, and a servant-leader mindset. As an Innovation Coordinator, they support participants in the MAPs Program by leveraging innovation and technology, while collaborating with providers and stakeholders to identify resources that promote long-term success.
C’Kala brings a strong educational background to the team, holding a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, a Master’s degree in Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
Outside of work, C’Kala enjoys staying active through sports and hiking, spending time outdoors, caring for plants, and relaxing with their beloved turtle, A&M.
Thank you, C’Kala, for your innovation, dedication, and commitment to empowering individuals at the Charles Lea Center. We truly appreciate all that you do. 💚
